Born in Seattle … parents are Joyce Roland and Clarence Roland III … has one brother, Clarence, and two sisters Jean and Jameela … one of the top all-around athletes in the state … her senior season she took second at the Washington 4A state meet in the triple jump, was seventh in the high jump, and third in the 100m hurdles … followed that with an eighth-place finish in the heptathlon at the state multi-event championships … as a junior she was the state runner-up in the high jump with a personal-best clearance of 5-feet, 7-inches … won four SPSL individual titles over her career … also was sixth at the 2010 state meet in the triple jump, going 37-0 ¼ … competed at state as a sophomore in the high jump, triple jump, and 4×100-meter relay, and 4×200-meter relay … third at state in the high jump as just a freshman, clearing 5-6, and won the district meet … also lettered four years on the Federal Way girls basketball team that made the state finals her senior year, and lettered two years in volleyball … named Federal Way High School Female Athlete of the Year in 2011 … graduated with a 3.5 GPA and considering a career in special education.

2012: Competed at five meets during the indoor season in the multi-events, then redshirted the outdoor season … completed her first pentathlon at the UW Invitational, scoring 3,446 points to finish eighth … won the shot put in the UW Invitational pentathlon with a mark of 42-feet, 8-inches, a season-best and the best by a Husky during the indoor season … high jump season-best of 5-4 ¼ at the UW Indoor Preview … completed four of five events at the MPSF Championships in the pentathlon, winning the shot put at 41-7, but did not start the final 800m run … top long jump of 17-11 ½ at the UW Invitational, the second-best mark on the squad.
2013: Competed in the multi-events indoors and out, and came on well in the triple jump late in the season as well … just missed scoring at the Pac-12 Championships in the triple jump, as she finished ninth with a career-best mark of 39-7 … second in the triple jump at the UW-WSU Dual, going 39-3 1/3 into a headwind … also was third at the UW-WSU Dual in the long jump at 17-9, a season-best, and was fifth in the high jump at 5-3 ¾ and fifth in the shot put at 39-8 ½ … completed one heptathlon outdoors, scoring 4,325 points at the Mt. SAC Relays … took seventh in the high jump (5-3 ¾) and eighth in the triple jump (36-9 ¾) at the Pepsi Team Invitational at Oregon … season-best high jump clearance of 5-5 ¼ at the Stanford Invitational … indoors, scored 3,357 points in the pentathlon at the UW Invitational, placing 15th … was on pace for a better pentathlon score at MPSFs, but was unable to finish the final 800-meter run … season-best high jump make of 5-6 indoors at the Husky Classic, tying for ninth … also was sixth at the Husky Classic in the triple jump with a mark of 38-6 … named a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2014: Focused on the triple jump and high jump, competing at both conference meets … for the second straight year, she just missed scoring at Pac-12s, finishing ninth in the triple jump at 38-10 ¼ … also was 12th in the high jump at Pac-12s at 5-3 ¼ … competed in three events in the UW-WSU Dual, taking fourth in the triple jump at 38-9, eighth in the long jump at 17-6, and sixth in the high jump at 5-3 ¼ … indoors, entered the long jump at MPSFs but fouled … had an indoor triple jump PR of 38-11 ¾ at the New Mexico Classic … also fifth in the triple jump at the UW Invitational with a mark of 38-4 ¾ … named a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2015: Had her best season to date in the triple jump, qualifying for NCAA West Preliminaries for the first time, and setting new career-bests … made the 40-foot mark for the first time in the triple jump at the UW-WSU Dual, going 40-feet, 9-inches, wind-aided, to pick up the victory … also cleared a new PR in the high jump in the Dual Meet, clearing 5-7 ¼ to tie for fifth … at the Pac-12 Championships, had a wind-legal PR of 39-11 ¼ to finish ninth, despite not taking her final three attempts due to a foot issue … placed 42nd overall at her first NCAA West Prelims, jumping 39-0 ¼ … went 39-5 ¾ in the Bryan Clay Invite triple jump for eighth-place … indoors, was 16th in the triple jump at the MPSF Championships at 37-11 ½ and 22nd in the high jump going 5-3 ¼ … had a season-best triple jump of 38-4 ¼ at the UW Indoor Preview … earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
