Why No Roll Packing
Lesser beds can be delivered in a box. They are compressed, vacuum sealed, folded, rolled, then packed in a box for shipping. While that is convenient, that type of product simply can’t deliver the level of durability, support, and longevity that the Linebacker Mattress delivers. The Linebacker core is engineered and constructed to act as a sleep surface, not a burrito. The extremely dense foam in the Linebacker Mattress adds significant weight, more than cheaper options. This is because there is more actual material being used in the bed than in others. It cannot compress as flat as there is less air and more actual product. The additional weight comes from the enhanced support our beds provide. This allows a Linebacker Mattress to hold its shape and comfort much longer, and provide the very best back support available. This core is made of super stiff foam that cannot be bent in half and/or folded.
Additionally, the comfort layers are designed to move air through the mattress and under the sleep surface to keep you cooler. These unique air channels form an interlocking core that needs to be preserved. For the sake of long-term durability, we forgo that process of flattening and rolling such an important piece.
We didn’t set out to make a lesser product using inferior materials. The high-density foams in the Linebacker Mattress simply weigh a lot more than the materials used to construct lesser quality bedding.
